Avoid Running Up A Huge Phone Bill Whilst You are
Abroad.
By Richard Akin.
Many of us love to take our mobile phones abroad with us in order to keep in touch with friends
and family, the down side to this is that when the bill arrives it can sometimes be a killer.
I just thought I'd share a few tips on how to get stung by huge phone bills. You must be aware
that you do get charged when you even answer a call or even listen to your voicemail whilst abroad. So here are a
few tips.
1. Get people to email you instead.
2. Turn off your voicemail
3. Let friends and family know that you are on holiday and get them to email you instead.
4. If using your phone abroad is essential, talk to your network provider as they may have some
special offers for global roaming.
5. You may want to purchase a sim card and insert it in your phone and provide the number to
those who you may want to be contacted by.
I am hoping that these tips are able to save you money on your phone bills.
