Prepayment Phones V Contract Which Is Best For You
?
By Richard Akin.
Before purchasing a prepayment phone there are a few things which you will need to consider
before taking the plunge, firstly I will recommend that you go back and read my previous post and this will help
you in determining whether you will benefit from buying a pay as you go phone. These pointers include the
following:
Your monthly spend. This is very important to note as this will alert you as to whether you are
better off getting a contract phone. When doing the calculation you will have to factor in the cost of the line
rental. If on the other hand you have never had a mobile phone it is better to just make assumptions on how much
you believe your spend will be, but this is not guaranteed to provide you with accurate information which you may
need to make a decision.
The best approach will be see whether your spend on a prepayment will be the same as what your
proposed network operator will charge on line rental alone. If the proposed network operator also offers a lot of
free minutes and these free minutes or text or combination of both is more than your spend then you may have bagged
yourself a bargain. I can assure you that if you have the discipline to keep the text / call down to a minimum and
keep within your allowance then you are better off going for a contract phone.
One good thing about prepayment phones is that you are not been tied into a contract and you can
change phones as you wish that is only if you have the means as most prepayment phones are not heavily subsidised
by the network operator.
